Your unforgettable day begins with an early morning pick-up from your residence in Morogoro at approximately 05:30 hrs. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s most accessible and wildlife-rich national parks.
Upon arrival at the park entrance, you’ll complete the registration formalities before setting off on an exciting morning game drive. Accompanied by your professional safari guide, you’ll explore the park’s vast plains and diverse habitats in search of its remarkable wildlife.
Around 13:00 hrs, you’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch break at Mikumi Wildlife Camp, located inside the park, where you can relax before continuing your adventure.
After lunch, you’ll resume your afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the park to maximize your chances of spotting a wide variety of animals. Mikumi is home to impressive wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, hippos, and an abundance of birdlife with over 300 recorded bird species.
At approximately 16:30 hrs, you’ll begin your return journey to Morogoro. Upon arrival, around 18:00 hrs, you will be dropped off at your residence, marking the end of your memorable Mikumi National Park day trip with Watu Safaris.
