How to Pay for Your Tanzania Safari
Booking your dream safari with Watu Safaris is simple and secure. Once your itinerary has been confirmed, we will send you a detailed invoice together with the available payment options. You can choose the method that is most convenient for you.
We recommend making your payment as early as possible to secure accommodation, domestic flights (if applicable), and park reservations, especially during the peak safari season.
Payment Terms
To confirm your booking, payment must be made according to the terms stated on your invoice.
- A deposit or full payment may be required depending on your travel dates and the accommodation booked.
- The remaining balance must be paid before your arrival or before your safari begins.
- Last-minute bookings generally require full payment at the time of confirmation.
- Once payment has been received, we will send you a confirmation receipt for your records.
Payment Methods
1. Bank Wire Transfer (Recommended)
International bank transfer is the preferred payment method for most bookings.
Please note:
- All bank transfer charges must be paid by the sender.
- Ensure the full invoice amount reaches our account.
- Include your booking or invoice number as the payment reference.
- Email us a copy of your transfer confirmation once the payment has been made to help us track your transaction quickly.

2. Secure Online Payment

Please note that online card payments may attract a small processing fee, which will be indicated before payment is completed.
3. Credit or Debit Card at Our Office
If you are already in Tanzania, you can pay by credit or debit card at our office in Morogoro.

Please note that card payments made at our office are subject to a processing fee.
4. Cash Payments
Cash payments are accepted at our office or before the safari begins.
We accept:
- US Dollars (USD)
- Euros (EUR)
- Tanzanian Shillings (TZS)
For US Dollar cash payments, Tanzania generally accepts newer banknotes. We recommend bringing USD notes issued from 2009 onwards to avoid exchange or acceptance issues.
5. Mobile Money
For selected countries, we also accept mobile money payments via Wave, which can be sent to our Tanzanian M-Pesa number.
If you would like to use this option, please contact us first so we can provide the correct payment instructions.

After Making Your Payment
Once your payment has been completed:
