Sample Itinerary 4 Days of Epic Adventures in Northern Tanzania
Day 1: Arusha/Moshi – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha or Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to a scenic picnic site where you will have lunch.
In the afternoon, continue exploring the park on an exciting game drive. During the dry season, Tarangire offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Tanzania as animals gather along the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, elands, giraffes, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species.
After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s premier wildlife destination and home to the Great Migration.
As you travel through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoy breathtaking views before entering the endless plains of the Serengeti. Covering approximately 15,000 square kilometers, the Serengeti supports one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on Earth.
Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and countless plains game. The park’s iconic granite kopjes provide shelter to a variety of wildlife and offer excellent opportunities for photography.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive with a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and supports one of Africa’s highest densities of wildlife. The crater is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, jackals, and a rich variety of birdlife. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino.
With a little luck, you may encounter all members of the legendary Big Five in a single day.
In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha/Moshi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, beautifully situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Despite its relatively small size, Lake Manyara boasts remarkable ecological diversity, featuring groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the alkaline lake itself. Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, blue monkeys, and various antelope species.
Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior observed in only a few places in Africa. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting flamingos, pelicans, hornbills, storks, and numerous other resident and migratory bird species.
After lunch and a final game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the late afternoon.
