20 Days Tanzania Experience Safari
This 20 days and 19 nights Tanzania Life Experience safari will include visiting Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi National Park, Udzungwa Mountains National Park and Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania. Also Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Northern Tanzania and end with visits to Zanzibar Island.
20 Days Tanzania – Southern Tanzania
Day 1: Pick up and Transfers to Selous Game Reserve
You will be picked from airport or hotel in Dar to start your safari (if you arrive early you can be picked from the airport to start your trip). You will be transferred to Selous game reserve, when you arrive you will have lunch and then go for boat safari into the Rufiji river for the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at Africa Safari Camp – camping using camp equipment.
Day 2: Game drives in Selous enroute to Mikumi
On this day you will leave for game drives while driving to Mikumi national Park via Kisaki village. Depends on the time you arrive in Mikumi, you may have sunset game drives or will just go on to your campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight stay camping at a public campsite.
Day 3: Full day game drives in Mikumi National Park
On this day you will have sunrise game drive starting from 06:30 hours and come back to the cottages for breakfast at around 08:30 hours. Will continue with game drive till lunch time whereby you will have lunch within the park. After lunch and a little rest you will continue with game drive in another part of the park till around 16:30 hours and that will be the end of full day game drive. In Mikumi expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more than 300 bird species.
After game drives will be taken to Udzungwa for Dinner and overnight stay at Twiga Hotel.
Day 4: Transfer and Trekking in Udzungwa Mountains
The purpose of this trip is to show you the Natural habitats of Udzungwa National Park. Early morning of this day you will be picked from your hotel in Udzungwa and drive to Udzungwa Mountains entrance gate. After registering will start climbing taking the Sanje route to be able to see the 4 stage waterfalls. Udzungwa is one of thirty four World Biodiversity hotspots. Expect to see Primates. Udzungwa have 11 primates species whereby 2 of these are found no where in the world, these are Sanje Mangabey (Cercocebus sanjei) and Iringa Red Colobus (Procobus gordonorum). Also you may have the opportunity to see habituated Sanje Mangabeys, different endemic plant species, birds, reptiles and Amphibians, Butterflies, waterfalls, etc.
Dinner and overnight stay at Tanswiss Lodge in Mikumi town.
Day 5: Transfer to and visit to Isimila Historical site
On this day after breakfast will visit Masai village to learn about their culture and traditions before you start drive to Iringa town where by you will have visit to Isimila stone age site tour. This tour aims at reminding you of where human kind evolved and what tools were used. Later on the day you will be transferred to Iringa town for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Iringa Sunset hotel.
Day 6 and 7: Full day game drives in Ruaha
Since Ruaha is the biggest park in Tanzania you will have 2 full day game drives to explore its wilderness. On this first full day game drives days you will leave early at 06:30 hours to go for sunrise game drive with parked breakfast and lunch boxes. Will continue with game drive searching for wild animals around different locations of the park till lunch break. After lunch and a little rest within the park you will continue with the game drive till around 18:00 hours when you will go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Other animals and attractions you should expect to see includes but not limited to Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, different birds, plants and reptiles species.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ruaha Park Cottages on the 6th day and in Iringa town at Iringa Sunset hotel on the 7th day.
Day 8: Transfers to Dodoma town
Early morning of this day after breakfast you will leave for transfer to Dodoma town, on the way will explore different areas of interests as you drive to Dodoma. When you arrive you will have city tour and stay overnight in the city at Dodoma Hotel.
Day 9: Transfers to Mto wa Mbu
On this day after you have breakfast in Dodoma you will start drive to Mto wa Mbu, Manyara in the Northern Tanzania. Will have lunch stop in Kondoa or Babati town and continue with drive to Mto wa Mbu. When you get you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Itinerary for: 5 days/4 nights
Destination: Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
Day 10: Mto wa Mbu – Tarangire.
Pick up from your hotel in Mto wa Mbul for transfer to Tarangire National Park game drives till evening. Dinner and Overnight Karatu Area at Olea Lodge.
Day 11: Karatu – Serengeti National Park for game drives. Dinner and Overnight camping in Serengeti at Serenera Camp
Day 12: Serengeti – Crater
Morning game drives in Serengeti National Park in the afternoon drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Dinner and Overnight at Simba Camp.
Day 13: Crater Tour – Karatu
Early breakfast around 6:00am descend down to the Crater for Crater Tour till evening . Dinner and Overnight in Karatu area at Olea Lodge.
Day 14: Manyara National Park – Arusha.
After having your breakfast you will go for game drives in Manyara National Park in the evening drive back to Arusha for flight to Zanzibar at 15:00 hours. Overnight stay in Stonetown.

20 Days Tanzania – Zanzibar Island
Day 15: Zanzibar tour activities
On this day after breakfast will have tour to Prison Island, then spice farm tour and finish with StoneTown tour. Dinner and overnights stay in Stone Town at Jambo Guest House.
Day 16 to 20: Free time in Paje beach.
For these 5 days will have free time relaxing and enjoying the beach in Paje at Ndame Beach Lodge. Many water related activities can be self organized from your hotel. On the 20th day you will be picked to be transferred to Zanzibar Airport or to the port to take ferry to Dar and then to the airport and that will be the end your Tanzania Life Experience Safari.
