2 Days Safari to Mikumi from Dar
ABOUT MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Activities in this closest National Park from Dar Es Salaam or Morogoro town involves wildlife viewing, camping safaris, walking safaris and night safaris. In Mikumi National Park expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, more than 300 bird species and various plant species. To reduce driving time all transfers between Dar Es Salaam and Morogoro will be done using SGR electric Train.
DAY 1: PICK UP, TRANSFER AND EVENING GAME DRIVE
On this day you will be picked up from your residency to be taken to the train station to take the 0600 hours Express train to Morogoro SGR train Station. You will arrive in Morogoro town at 0737 hours and be picked to start your drive to Mikumi National Park with breakfast stop in Morogoro town. When you arrive in Mikumi you will be checked in and start game drives with lunch break taken within the park. In Mikumi expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more than 300 bird species. Dinner and overnight stay within the park at the Mikumi Park Cottages or any other chosen accommodation facility
DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER BACK TO DAR OR MOROGORO
You will be picked up to start morning game drives from around 0630 hours with breakfast break taken within the park. On this day you will do game drives in other areas of interest to see more animals or scenery. Will have lunch break at around noon and start drive back to Morogoro town to be able to take the 1400 hours train to Dar es Salaam.
When you arrive in Dar at around 1810 hours you will be taken to your residency/hotel/airport and that will be the end of your safari with us. In Mikumi expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more than 300 bird species. Upon arrival in Dar Es Salaam or Morogoro you will be taken to your residence (airport or ferry) and that will be the end of your day trip with Watu Safaris.
