5 Days Safari to Selous, Mikumi and Udzungwa
Day 1: Pick Up, transfer to Selous Game Reserve
You will be picked up from your hotel in Dar at around 06:00 hours to start trip to Selous Game reserve. When you get to the Reserve you will be checked in at your accommodation, have lunch and later on at around 15:00 hours will go for boat safari on the Rufiji river. Dinner and overnight stay at Africa Safari Camp.
Day 2: Full day Game drives in Selous
On this day will have a full day game drives in the Selous game reserves. Dinner and overnight stay at the African Safari Camp.
Day 3: Game drives in Selous enroute to Mikumi
Early morning of this day with packed lunch will leave for game drives enroute to Mikumi National Park via Kisaki village and Morogoro town. You will have lunch break within the park and continue with drive to Mikumi. When you arrive you will be checked inn and taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Dinner and overnight stay at the Park Cottages within the park.
Day 4: Full day game drive – Mikumi National Park
On this day you will be taken for sunrise game drives starting from 06:30 hours till around 08:30 whereby you will have breakfast, there after continue with game drives till the end of full day game drives at around 15:30 hours. In Mikumi National Park expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, more than 300 bird species and various plant species. After game drives you will be transferred to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Dinner and overnight stay within the park at Twiga Hotel.
DAY 5: Trekking in Udzungwa Mountains and transfers to Dar
The purpose of this trip is to show you the Natural habitats of Udzungwa National Park. Early morning of this day you will be picked from Twiga Hotel and drive to the entrance gate. After registering will start climbing taking the Sanje route to be able to see the 4 stage waterfalls. Udzungwa is one of thirty four World Biodiversity hotspots. Expect to see Primates. Udzungwa have 11 primates species whereby 2 of these are found no where in the world, these are Sanje Mangabey (Cercocebus sanjei) and Iringa Red Colobus (Procobus gordonorum). Also you may have the opportunity to see habituated Sanje Mangabeys, different endemic plant species, birds, reptiles and Amphibians, Butterflies, waterfalls, etc.
When you come down will be transferred to Dar via Morogoro town. Once you arrive in Dar you will be taken to your residency and that will be the end of your 5 days/4 nights tour with Watu Safaris.
